On a personal note

The Nodalpoint "usual suspects" are dealing with sad news from the University of New South Wales, which I think is worthy of announcement.

Last week we learned of the unexpected death of Garry King, a lecturer in our school here at UNSW. Garry was a unique and special individual, dedicated to his research, a real "scientist's scientist". He was instrumental in introducing bioinformatics teaching and research to the school. Garry was also Greg's Ph.D. supervisor - he encouraged Greg to abandon the wet lab for bioinformatics. For a long time, Nodalpoint was hosted on a server in Garry's lab and so the existence of this website is in no small part due to Garry. Our small world is a sadder, less interesting and less rich place without him.
