Meetup

Hi Greg, I enjoyed writing about AAAI, damn blogging is addictive! I agree the AAAI site is lousy, they don't even have an online proceedings, its distributed on a *CD*, which is a joke for such an allegedly cutting-edge organisation.

The W3C meetup went well, hot topic of the day is Life Science IDentifiers, see Noah Mendelsohn summary of the debate and join the open telecon on Monday 31 July if you want to know more about LSIDs.

As for a nodalpoint meetup, it didn't quite happen, Chris nearly made it, but not quite, maybe next time.

But I'm glad spitshine blogged DILS'06, its quicker and cheaper than going to the real thing!

Thank you for blogging

Thank you for blogging AAA'I 06. Spitshine also blogged a 3 day workshop: Data Integration in the Life Sciences 06 at the same time. It was like attending two conferences at once, with out the poisonous black conference coffee.

It remains ironic that a conference on AI does not embrace the intelligent web dissemination of the conference content. There is no mention of blogs, RSS etc on the front page. Where is the online automated AI conference assistant ? Oh, I forgot it is artificial intelligence :)

BTW how did the nodal/SW-HCLS meet-up go ?
