I see from DBworld that the First International Workshop On The Semantic Web For Health Care and Life Sciences Data Integration (HCLS-DI2007) is being held at www2007 next year. They have just opened their call for papers, the book authors and program committee are quite similar, so it will be the same kind of stuff.

An introductory book on text

An introductory book on text mining would be a nice present (and I actually believe my brother is trying to get that). Actually the one that was suggested in the forums (Text Mining for Biology and Biomedicine) would fit my needs perfectly.

All I want for Christmas is a book about the semantic web, written by people who are actually building and using it, rather than “visionaries” who don't have to. Maybe this year I'll be lucky...
