The same group appears to have now isolated <a href="http://www.hubmed.org/display.cgi?uids=16444273">the channel responsible</a>. A SNP (rs17822931 in ABCC11), the causative allele of which is found primarily in East Asians, alters the ability to export cGMP through this channel.
