Getting things done in the lab

Methods to increase individual productivity in the lab are dear to the hearts of many regular nodalpoint readers (remember: You should be working). Right now you probably should be preparing a manuscript, writing code, reading papers, preparing lecture notes, doing experiments and many other tasks that will increase your scientific productivity. As scientists we don't always have the luxury of completing well defined tasks. After all, science is the business of discovering new knowledge and is far from being a linear process.
