Hi everyone
I have posted two interviews in the Blind.Scientist blog with some very good feedback to them, The two interviews posted were more related to Phylogenetics and Bioinformatics, and the third one, which is in the works, will be more related to general science. I am preparing the interview with Dr Jeremy Squire, who is an oncologist and works at the Ontario Cancer Institute.
For these first interviews I tried contacting people that I already had some relationship: Brian Golding was my supervisor, Jeremy Squire is a collaborator (and my wife's supervisor) and Joe Felsenstein and I discussed things related to Phylip before.
As suggested here, it would be interesting to have a participation of the community in this small project, maybe suggesting names, topics and questions. I will try to keep the interviews short (from 7-10 questions) and I always have a couple of recurrent questions that will be common/similar to everyone.
I have some names that I plan to ask, but I would really appreciate the participation of whoever is interested,
You can reply to this topic here, send me an email at nuin @ genedrift . org or even leave a comment on the blog (I will not publish it).
Thanks a lot for everyone that read the interviews and thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Paulo

Interviews
Hi, I would also be interested in making some interviews about people in science . How about creating a shared blog to do this (www.blogger.com ?). This is something I wish I could do long time ago and I already had some ideas about this:
- use the questions used by 'Nature' a few years ago in the section called 'lefelines' (e.g. Nature 426, 6 Nov 2003, p20): What was your first experiment as a child ? What are your major frustrations ? etc...
- formating the interview in XML/FOAF and storing it 'somewhere'. Including optional informations such as the geoloc, images, genealogy etc...
- inspired from Scifoo 2006: "who should I interview next ?"

Great
Hi Pierre
Nice ideas. We can set a domain and install wordpress or any other content management and go for it. I will contact you via email and we can discuss a little bit more.
If anyone else can contribute, please do so.
Thanks a lot
Paulo
