MASAMB 2007: Call for submissions

The 17th annual Mathematical and Statistical Aspects of Molecular Biology (MASAMB) meeting will take place in Manchester on March 29-30, 2007. The call for submissions has just opened.

With participants from mathematics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics, biology and related fields, the MASAMB meetings provide an intimate setting for exchange of ideas in methodological and applied research. Research students and scientists newly entering the field of genomic research are particularly welcome.

Likely topics for sessions this year are phylogenetics and comparative genomics, microarrays and functional genomics, biological networks and systems biology. Contributions from any other areas where mathematical and statistical techniques are being applied to important problems in molecular and cell biology are also welcomed.

To be considered for a talk or poster authors should submit a one page abstract describing their research. This abstract will be used to select presentations and should provide an overview of the research objectives, methods and results.

Important dates are:

  • Abstract Submission: January 19 2007
  • Author Notification: February 2 2007
  • Registration ends: March 1 2007
  • Conference: March 29-30 2007

Further details, along with instructions for abstract submission and registration, are provided on the above MASAMB conference website. If any nodalpointers are interested in attending, lets have a meetup.
