Over in the forums, Stew has announced his (beta) version of postgenomic.com, a technorati-like meta aggregator for the life sciences. Looks very cool.

At the moment
I'm hoping Stew's Postgenomic turns into something more like Memeorandum rather than Technorati. At the moment blogging/community tools (Drupal, Wordpress et al.) do not output structured metadata (with the exception of structured blogging), if they did it may improve the quality of the listings (more on metadata in the forums).
A lot of 'bloggers' tend to go on at length about their place in the Technorati Top 100 blogs. I don't think I could handle a similar situation occurring for life science bloggers. And I've seen a little of this with the 'wordiness' rankings (quite clever really).
What am I saying, there is nothing more 'science' that comparing you citation history...
